Breed: Lurcher
Gender: Male
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: No, but can have dog friends
Can live with cats: No

Wally is a handsome 6 year old lurcher. He is neutered, chipped and vaccinated.

Wally has been in our care since he was 10 months old and is still waiting for his perfect people. Wally is our longest stay dog and we would love to see him in a home. We know he has a chequered past but he is a far cry from the confused dog who arrived!

Wally is a sweet boy. He is full of life and energy. He absolutely loves to play and is super intelligent. He would thrive in a home with a regular routine and lots of things to keep him busy. He loves water and will happily jump in a pond for a swim. His favourite activity is having an off lead run in the enclosed field and playing in his paddling pool in the summer!

He is fast to learn and enjoys using his brain. Wally walks well on the lead and loved his long walks. He’s recently been exploring the countryside and seaside with a few of our volunteers!

Wally is a firm favourite amongst our volunteers and is often the dog we pick to walk with our new volunteers due to his loving personality. He loves a butt scratch and dances when recieving one. He is a cheeky, clever boy with so much love to give.

Wally would like a pet free, child free home with someone who has had big dogs before. He is such an amazing boy who deserves the right home. Wally would happily have dog friends on a walk and quite enjoys walking with his friends once introduced properly. He is a very sociable boy and has been know to enjoy a picnic on the beach!

Wally does have a bite history however his incidents are few and far between, it has been well over 3 years since his last incident and he has clear triggers and warning signs.

Despite his past Wally wants to move on from it and with the right home will absolutely flourish. He is a firm favourite of ours and whilst we absolutely adore him, we would love to see him in a home before he has another birthday at the rescue!

Wally truly is an amazing boy. He is a loveable, playful lurcher who thrives around people. He loves his people and craves a warm loving home.

We will discuss Wally’s full history with any potential owner and offer continued ongoing training and support for life when he finds a home.

Could you offer this giant goofball a loving, experienced home?

Alice loves to run and play. She loves to sunbathe and is often referred to as a sun hippo! Despite her looks she is a cuddly marshmallow who deserves a chance to live in a home. She can be strong on the lead but is getting much much better. She enjoys her trips to the enclosed field and is all smiles and play.

Age: 3 years
Breed: Crossbreed (medium)
Gender: Male
Can live with dogs: No
Can live with cats: No
Can live with children: No

Zeke is a handsome boy who came to us after another rescue could no longer meet his needs.

Zeke has had a hard life so far. He came over from Romania via another rescue and has sadly spent most of his time in the UK in kennels.

Zeke is an absolutely amazing boy. He loves a cuddle and a good chin scratch! He enjoys his chew toys and treat ball! He is a really happy boy who adores people.

Zeke walks well on the lead but his recall is a work in progress. He loves his walks, especially ones in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the town. He can be dog reactive and whilst he has made some friends with slow introductions, he will need continued training on this.

Zeke is a special boy who is looking for a calm quiet home. Whilst he absolutely loves a cuddle and a play, he can become over excited and get a bit mouthy! He is looking for experienced owners who can recognise when he needs quiet time.

Zeke is a firm favourite with our volunteer dog walkers and is such a sweet boy. He is eager to please and loves his free time in a private hire field. He knows some basic commands and loves to show off his skills, especially if treats are involved!

Zeke could have walking canine friends with slow introductions but would like a pet free home. He absolutely loves travelling in the car and would happily jump into anyone’s if it means a road trip! Zeke does walk in a Muzzle as on occasion he gets overwhelmed and this helps ground him, think saftey blanket!

He is looking for an understanding home with a secure garden. He can be left for short periods of time. He is looking for a pet free child free home. He can guard food so would like a quiet place to eat in peace away from his humans.

Zeke has so much love to give and is such a fun boy. Could you offer him a loving home?

** DRACO **

โ€œA gentle giant who just needs time to trustโ€

Age: 5 years
Breed: Mastiff cross
Gender: Male
Can live with dogs: A large breed female
Can live with cats: No
Can live with children: 16+

Draco is a handsome Mastiff cross who came into our care after his owner could no longer care for him. He is neutered, chipped and up to date of vaccines.

Draco is an absolutely amazing boy. He is a giant baby who loves cuddles and attention. Draco can take time to trust new people however it is time well spent as once he knows and trusts you he is the gentlest most amazing boy. He is loyal and bonds deeply with his people. You cannot help but to fall in love with this boy.

Draco walks well on a lead, although on occasion can still pull. His recall is a work in progress but being people centered he is very trainable. He enjoys walking with his dog friends in kennels and especially likes the larger ladies! He has lived with dogs previously so we are confident he would again.

Draco would like a home with people 16+ as whilst he is becoming a super super friendly boy he can on occasion be nervous with strangers especially when entering the home. Draco loves to play and does sometimes forget his size. He is gentle when taking food and will give you his big puppy eyes for a treat.

Draco would like a large breed experienced home who will give him the time he needs to settle in. He would like an active home with someone who enjoys daily walks!

Could you offer this big boy a loving home?

**MOJO**

Age: 7 years
Breed: Spaniel
Gender: Male
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: No, but could have walking friends
Can live with cats: No

Mojo is a stunning Spaniel who is looking for an experienced home. He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Mojo is a sweet boy who loves to let down his fur, play, and sniff his way everywhere. He is a real foody and this is a great way to earn his trust, but can grab treats so watch those fingers!

Mojo is an amazing boy but he has had some past issues that have led to him being in rescue. Heโ€™s a little bit of a Victor Meldrew at times and likes his own space. That being said when he’s in the mood he is a very cuddly loving boy!

Mojo is looking for a patient, gentle owner who will take the time to get to know him at his pace.

Mojo loves a walk but canโ€™t be let off the lead, in true Spaniel style heโ€™ll follow his nose, forgetting he has ears!

He does, however, love the enclosed field and will run around like a lunatic expelling any energy. This is a time for you to relax as Mojo just wants to do his thing and sniff everywhere. You donโ€™t have to entertain him much. An occasional ball throw maybe.

Mojo will happily jump in the car but does get protective of the car/crate when it comes to getting him back out. He can also be protective of his toys and bed in a home so needs his own personal Mojo bed space where he can take himself off to for some Mojo time.

Donโ€™t worry, heโ€™ll soon pop out of there if you call him. (Especially if he thinks thereโ€™s something yummy to be had)

Unfortunately, if you do push Mojo he will push back with his teeth. We will show you and work with you to learn Mojoโ€™s quirks and the things that him happy. You could start by coming to meet him and taking him for a walk.

Mojo doesnโ€™t need too much grooming but when he does need a little trim he can come back to us free of charge to see our groomer Em who knows his likes and dislikes inside out!

Mojo will need a pet free adult only home. He really is a beautiful quirky boy who would be a fabulous companion in the right home. Whilst he would like to be the only pet he could have dog friends to go on walks with.

Despite his faults Mojo is such a loving cuddly boy. If you can see past his quirks you will see what an amazing, handsome and loving boy he is!

Could you be his final forever home?

To apply for Mojo please submit an application form linked below.

Callie is a gorgeous girl with a truly lovely soul. She loves to play and run around the paddocks. Her favourite thing is to take a trip to the private hire field for a good run around!

** BRONSON **

Age: 4 years
Breed: Mastiff Cross
Gender: Male
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: No
Can live with cats: No

Big beautiful Bronson has unfortunately been returned to his rescue and is back borrowing a kennel space. He is chipped, neutered and vaccinated.

Bronson is a handsome boy, at almost 60kg he is a big big boy. Bronson has a heart of gold and loves the people he knows. He is super playful and with no distractions walks beautifully. He loves nothing more than a cuddle and playtime.

In the house Bron is the perfect gentleman. He is housetrained and is happy to be left for a few hours. He doesn’t steal and is a very good boy in the garden, showing no interest in fence jumping.

Unfortunately Bronson has spent his entire life in kennels. This has caused a few issues. In kennels Bron is the perfect gentleman. He ignores other dogs and will happily meet new people. However in a home he struggles with this. Whilst in kennels he walks beautifully, if he sees something he doesn’t like in a home he will pull and lunge so needs a strong capable owner.

He bonds deeply with his people and being a loyal and protective breed he will stand guard even if he doesn’t need to.

What sort of home does Bronson need?

Bron is looking for a pet free, child free house. He is looking for a single person or a couple who have experience with large powerful breeds. Ideally his home will be rural or semi rural with very few visitors, and a safe space to shut him away should visitors need to come over.

If you can offer a safe secure and loving home please visit his rescues page to apply to adopt him!

** LEO **

Age: 2 years
Breed: Collie x Shepherd
Gender: Male
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: No, but can have dog friends.
Can live with cats: No

Leo is a handsome boy who is sadly back in our care after struggling to cope in his new home. He is chipped, vaccinated and neutered.

Let’s talk about Leo’s good bits!

Leo is a sweet boy. He loves life and loves to run around and play. He is one big ball of energy and excitment!

Leo has an incredible brain and is fast to learn. He picks up tricks very quickly.

Leo is good with other dogs and socialises well, however he is very much like an annoying younger brother and doesn’t know when to rest and when to play. He can quickly annoy other dogs which is why he would be better as an only dog with dog friends.

The not so good bits about Leo!

Leo’s world has been very small. He has spent most of his life shut in a kitchen being ignored. Stuck in a world that forgot about him he became a coiled spring and sometimes he can’t help but pop off.

Leo gets overwhelmed and overstimulated very easily. His go to behaviour when this happens is to grab, chew and mouth. Unfortunately Leo was most likely taken away from his litter too soon and has no real bite inhibition. This means whilst to him he is mouthing and grabbing to his humans it can hurt! He has never broken skin and he isn’t trying to hurt you he just doesn’t know what to do with himself, however he can leave a bit of a bruise!

Leo ideally needs a single person household. Preferably male. Leo finds it easier to focus on one person and listen to them. Too many commands and people and he becomes confused and overwhelmed.

Leo’s world needs to start small. He is only used to living in a kitchen. Giving him the whole house is asking for trouble! Leo needs an experienced owner who can slowly expose him to life. He needs to be in a home where he can build his foundations in a small space, increasing the amount of freedom given as he acclimatises to a home environment. Go to quickly and he will start getting grabby and mouthy.

Leo is much better outside however gets overstimulated and will jump and grab clothing. He again needs his walks to start small (quiet places) and build up to bigger, bussier places once he has a better understanding of how to be calm.

He needs a calm, confident and experienced adopter who can follow our advice and work with us and Leo as we know with the right person he will become a wonderful well mannered boy, it will just take time. It is important an adopter is willing to listen and take our advice as well as continue face to face training with ourselves.

In kennels with structure, routine and boundaries Leo excells. Our more experienced volunteers happily walk him and he is a good boy for them. He enjoys playtime in the paddock and even a quick quiet cuddle once he’s used all his energy. He really can be a wonderful companion but kennels is no life for a dog. He needs to find a home, without one he will remain a confused dog, the one people always walk past because he is too much.

If you think you are up to the challenge of loving Leo please fill out our online application form linked below:

** CAKE **

Age: 5ish
Breed: Pocket Bully
Gender: Female
Can live with chileren: 14+
Can live with dogs: No, but could have dog friends
Can live with cats: No

Cake is a beautiful Pocket Bully who came into our care after her time was up at the pound. She is chipped, neutered and vaccinated. She has had surgery to fix a ruptered cruciate ligament and has recovered nicely.

Cake is truly a magnificent girl. She is so friendly and loving. Everyone here absolutely adores her. She has a big personality and is happiest rolling around in the paddock getting lots of cuddles and love. All Cake wants in life is someone to love her.

Cake enjoys gentle strolls and whilst she loves her walks she’s never going to run a marathon! She is crate trained and is non destruction.

Cake does show some separation anxiety and will poo in her crate when left alone for longer periods so this will need to be built up slowly.

Whilst Cake is absolutely amazing we have no history on her with children however due to her gentle nature she could live with children 14+.

Cake enjoys meeting other dogs and will happily walk with one however she is a jealous girl so would like to be the only dog in the home. She is looking for a cat free home.

Could you offer this beautiful soul a loving forever home.

** JELLYBEAN **

Age: 1 year (D.O.B may 2025)
Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux cross Mastiff
Gender: Female
Can live with children: 10+
Can live with dogs: No
Can live with cats: No

Jellybean is a gorgeous Mastiff mix who came to us as a puppy after her time was up in the pound. She was initially rehomed 10 months ago but has decided she would like to be the only animal in the home and would like all the cuddles and attention for herself. She is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered

Jellybean has a huge personality to go alongside her huge physique. She is a big goofball who likes to get up to mischief and has an opinion on most things. She is a playful girl who adores belly rubs, snuggling up on the sofa with her humans, going on adventures in the car, exploring new places for a long walk, having zoomies in open spaces and doing tricks for food (she even knows how to roll over).

Jellybean can be hit and miss with other dogs and is a bit unpredictable with them, she prefers her own space and will bark and lunge if she thinks another dog has looked at her the wrong way! She is a very strong girl weighing almost 40kg and although walks nicely on the lead at most times, will need a strong handler for her reactions.

Jellybean loves meeting new people and making friends and will do her signature bum wiggle for scratches. She can occasionally be timid, especially with men but is never nasty with this and is easily won over with sweeties and a belly rub.

Jellybean is a little bit of a troublemaker in the home and will chew anything she can find and swallow things she’s not supposed to (she’s eaten a sofa before!) so is crate trained when left unattended. She has been left home alone for short periods and has been ok.

Jellybean does love her toys and chews, but can get silly with these and has the potential to resource guard.

Jellybean would live with children 10+ who are used to big dogs, but would like a pet free home.

If you have the room in your heart for slobbery kisses, the patience to handle her quirks and the time to devote to this incredible dog then fill out an application linked below:

Reggie is sweet boy. He loves cuddles and loves to play. He can get silly with balls but loves running around with stuffed toys and taking his treasures back to his bed!

Reggie is super cuddly and loving on his terms and when comfortable loves to sit next to you on the sofa. He walks well on the lead and is fully housetrianed.

Reggie is looking for a very special home with some very specific requirements. He is looking for a pet free single person household. Reggie bonds with his person quickly and his desperate need to be loved is all consuming. He doesn’t like strangers coming into his home so would like to be shut away when guests are over, he is fully crate trained and that is his safe space.

Reggie has some issues having his harness put on so needs an experienced owner who can read his body language and back off when he is uncomfortable. Unfortunately he does have a bite history and we will discuss this in further detail with any potential adopter. We will also be there to support you and Reggie in learning each other.

If you want a handsome boy who will love you to the moon and back and live alone with no pets we want to hear from you!

Jasper walks well on the lead but will never be a dog you can let off outside of a fully fenced garden or enclosed hire field. He loves other dogs and would benefit from living with another dog of spaniel size or above.

Nora enjoys a walk but is never going to want to walk marathons. A gentle stroll around the block is enough for her. She loves to run around in the garden so that is a must!

Nora gets on well with other dogs and would happily live with a calm dog. She is looking for a child free, cat free home.

Whilst Nora is a very lovely girl she does have a few flaws. She absolutely hates the vets. She will become very snappy when examined so vet trips are carefully planned. She isn’t a fan of having her ears cleaned although we are working on this with her.
